Medical Application Lasers
Medical applications cover a whole variety of
laser systems with varied performance specs such as wavelength, pulse length
or peak power. By focusing on the design and manufacture of radiation sources,
these lasers can be matched to specific medical applications. Since different base technologies are available for
solid-state lasers, this adds more possibilities to find new medical
indications for practical laser usage.
Research and Development Lasers
With scientific applications, a suitable
radiation source is selected under such performance aspects as wavelength,
power, pulse length or peak power. Beam quality is among the parameters of
paramount significance. It provides an a-priori TEM00 approach in these laser
qualified base technologies, for example, the thin-disc laser and the MOPA
technology. .
